Hi, I’m Heather—a gardener and a wanna be homesteader at heart. What began as a simple desire to grow our own food has blossomed into a deep love for tending the land and stewarding the blessings God has placed in our care.
Over the years, I’ve discovered that cultivating a garden is about so much more than food. It’s about slowing down, getting your hands in the soil, caring for animals with intention, and nourishing your family with the most wholesome, nutrient-dense meals possible. In the quiet rhythms of planting and harvesting, I’ve found peace, healing, and a deeper connection to God.
Here at The Rooted Table, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned—practical tips, hard-earned lessons, and encouragement—to help you begin (or continue) your own journey toward health, joy, and a more rooted life.
There’s always room at my table to learn, grow, and gather together. I’m so glad you’re here.

The best way to cure the long days of winter is to start planning your garden. Follow these steps to easily set yourself up for success. A great website that I have used to help me get set up is SEEDTIME. Their site has a wealth of information and you can even make a gardening calendar which will automatically fill in the dates of when to start your seeds without you having to do any research!
